Harijan Temple Update 2

Visit of Team of Youngsters from Athappa Gounden Pudur to my house on 16-04-08

I have been telephoning the responsible persons in AG pudur for quire sometime to get a final estimate for the remaining works.

I must admit my mistake in not taking a really serious look at the estimate when they presented the blue prints. Now, when I sit and calculate, there is indeed a big amount of deficit from what I was projecting all these days in this blog. Some points
1. They want the Gopuram over the Garbhagriham at any cost.
2. They have so far done work to the tune of Rs 1.75 lakhs
3. The pending works are
Vimanam- Labour + material- Rs 83,000.00
Steel windows and steel doors- Rs 30,000.00
Roof slab 550 sq ft Rs 65,000.00
Floor concrete 550 sq ft Rs 22,000.00
Floor tiles Rs 22,000.00
Wall plastering Rs 2,000.00
Electrification Rs 8,000.00
-------------------
Total Rs 2,32,000.00

The above is a conservative one. I am looking at a figure of Rs 1,00,000 to cover roof slab and Steel work so that basic work will be over. They have to manage the rest. I have told them so. Below is the photo of the temple with raised pillars to lintel level.

There is also a slow improvement in their overall behaviour. On my slow but steady efforts, they have taken a vow
1. Not to wear lungi at all
2. Always adorn the thirumann to show their Vaishnava Status
3. Not to say any bad words at all
4. Not to watch TV
5. Raise a Tulasi plant
6. Greet the other saying Om Namo Narayana
7. Never accept anything free. Accept onlyif it is from their own effort
8. Not to associate with any political party
9. Not to waste time doing unnecessary things
10. Not to consume alchohol
11. To deposit their day's earnings with their wives

I heard from one of my contacts that wherever they go now, they are all seen in white dhotis only. They are arranging for weekly bhajans and are reportedly contacting elders who can guide them with it and are also looking for musical instruments.

Hope is filling slowly for us all.

Harijans Returning to Parental Religion

This is great news for the Harijan community. The following is the news item in the Hindu. The photo however is from Dinamalar website. The Tamilnadu government did a great disservice by not allowing this event in the famous Nelliappar temple saying such events cannot be done in a temple.

Will anyone accept this logic ? 100 % conversions into Christianity and Islam take place in their respective places of worship. This, again shows the cowardly act of the Government which always wants the minority vote.

Dalit Christians converted to Hinduism in Tirunelveli
(Staff Reporter)

TIRUNELVELI: Amid chanting of hymns from ‘Thevaram’ and ‘Thiruvasagam’ 45-year-old Sahayam alias Naresh Ambedkar became Sivaramalingam with monks of various mutts showering flower petals on him and applying ‘kumkum’ on his forehead at a function organised at the Nellai Sangeetha Sabha here on Monday.

The occasion marked the conversion of a group of Christians, including 80 children, from 213 families to Hinduism. According to the police, 296 persons were converted. The organisers put the figure at 800.

Homams were performed in the presence of Swami Sankarananda of Sri Sarada College for Women, Palayamkottai, Swami Sadasivananda, State organiser, Tamil Nadu Hindu Monks’ Forum, and other religious leaders.

Two reasons

A Dalit cited two major reasons for the conversion: “We Dalit Christians cannot enjoy the benefits being extended by the government to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes since we are considered members of the Backward Classes. This religious conversion will ensure that the benefits beyond our reach will at least reach our children. Secondly, there is no equality in Christianity also as we are being treated like secondary citizens.”

Some of the women, whose marriage forced religious conversion on them, also returned to Hinduism.

Welcoming them, Kalyanasundara Sathya Gnana Pandaara Sannidhi Swamigal of Sengole Adheenam, Perungulam, said: “Without force or allurement, you have returned to Hinduism after realising its greatness.”

After the converts said they would follow Hinduism till they breathed their last, they were offered a shawl and a set of new clothes. ‘Padha puja’ was performed to the new entrants. Special pujas were also performed at the Nellaiyappar Gandhimathi Ambal temple. President of the Hindu Makkal Katchi Arjun Sapmath, who organised the function, said over 20,000 Dalit and Vanniya Christians would embrace Hinduism at a function to be organised on August 18 at Tiruvathigai in Cuddalore district, the birthplace of sage Tirunavukkarasar.

INCENTIVES FOR CONVERSION IN TAMILNADU

OH BRAHMINS, NAIDUS AND PILLAIS, YOU ARE NEXT !

The Tamilnadu Government recently announced reservations of 3.5 % each for Christians and Muslims. The public ,as usual, did not say anything. As the rulers have learnt the art of throwing crumbs at each of the vocal groups, no one complained except some OBC communities since these reservations were taken from their quota.

No one noticed a big hole and a dangerous design behind this seemingly straightforward thing. It offered incentives to reservation to the prople outside the quota FOR THE FIRST TIME IN INDEPENDENT INDIA.

Do you ask me how ? Look at this. Nearly 35 % of the population of India are outside the quota regime for educational institutions and governmental jobs. They are called the forward castes. These castes, especially the brahmins among them, were targeted by successive goverments for allegedly oppressing the other sects in the past.

Now, the government has opened a safe way to these sects to escape the 'reservation trap'. Anyone from these castes, if they become Christians or Muslims, even for namesake, can avail of the benefits of reservation !

No doubt, this law has been passed by the DMK led government for appeasing the minorities. I have even heard that politicians are simply 'purchased' by missionaries with huge incomes from foreign sources. This law, if unchecked, will prove to be a bargaining point for the evangelists to win the 'hearts' of these 'forwards castes'.

The forward castes are already on the verge of desperation after 60 years of throttling by the OBC ruled dispensations in many states. Now, this will be a god sent opportunity for them to torment the OBCs with this loophole in this law. Now, if they convert, EVEN FOR NAMESAKE, they can avail of the backward class status.

The Hindu organisations should take up this matter strongly and protest.

Sigh ! The politicians never tire of ill advised moves !

WHO WILL SAVE OUR HARIJANS ?

CONTINUING CHRISTIAN OPPRESSION OF HARIJANS- WHO WILL BRING A CHANGE ?

Last week was there was a news flash. Two persons killed in a police firing when the Vanniar Christians and Harijan Christians clashed. The full report is here.

The Indians were preached that the only solace for Harijans is Christianity. This incident has just exposed the hollowness of it all. Any Indian with a keen eye will tell that the Harijan suffers the same fate in Christianity as he faced in Hindu community. Plus , he suffers, the trauma of an alien brainwash, and the biggest problem of separation from own kinsmen leading to social tension.

Christian Web Propaganda:
The web is full of Christian stooges in the garb of Harijan upliftment whose main agenda is conversion of the Harijans to Christianity. They are offered money, material, employment and most of all ‘dignity’ for the converts. This has grown to a global business with various denominations of Christian missionary groups jumping in the ‘fray’ for their share of converts among the 20 crore Harijans of India . The amount involved is mind boggling. One organization in Tamilnadu alone received more than 250 crores in 2006 and this is only the official statement of the government of India !

Almost all the Harijan/ Dalit websites are run by Christian organizations and their friends in arms- the communists. They freely use the name of B R Ambedkar, cleverly suppressing the fact that Ambedkar became a Buddhist.

You can find innocent looking advertisements like “ help a Harijan girl attend school” in your favourite web portals like Yahoo. When one goes into details, he finds that there is a money sucking evangelist behind it.

The silent conversion of the entire tribal population of the North Eastern states shows how cunning they can be. All the insurgencies in the region have the tacit as well as open support of the Churches ! Just goes to show how criminal and anti national these missionaries can become.

Plight of the Converts:

The Harijan, is approached by people from their own caste, and language background with lures of Money and some quick fix solution to their long standing problems. Once this man starts attending church, he finds that most of these promises are empty and whatever he gets, it is only after the share of the ‘pastor’ is taken off.

Also, the conversion happens by the magic of healing, a cunning deceitful art perfected by the missionaries. If the lowest field worker to the high flying missionary businessmen like D G S Dinakaran have one thing in common, it is the dishonest act of fake healing. Sometimes it is for a fever, a bruise, or even to chase a ‘ghost’.

Serious ailments require a detailed, systematic cheating. The innocent people believe that Christ saved them even if they are cured by medicine. I pointed out to them that the pastors themselves do not believe Christ since they visit doctors for their ailments. Funny, recently when I was in front of a Intensive Care Unit of a leading hospital, I found that more than 50 percent of the relatives of the patients waiting outside were Christians and Muslims. Together they make up 20 % of the population. Christ has so much affection for His own people !

The Harijan’s misery does not end there. Sometimes, he is immediately barred entry into his Kula Devata temple by his own Hindu kinsmen. He is now in a trap. He cannot marry his children in his own caste. He has to marry only similar Christian converts. Most often, they are from other castes within harijans and here too, resistance comes from fellow Hindus, that they vacate the colony.

Another dangerous pitfall is awaiting the Harijan. His own political leaders are pawns in the hands of missionaries. One of their leaders themselves in the payroll of the Christians, claims this report

In one colony I visit, the pastors have planted a local man in the colony itself , who was financed to study ‘Diploma in Theology’. You should see his eagerness for religious argument ! Pity the residents!

Economics of Conversion: The reverse drain

Another sad aspect of the evangelical brainwash is that, these already poor converts are further forced to part with a part of their income to his church. This is often the case with the Pentecostal sect . How is that ? The conversion is by lure. After conversion it is swindle. The irony is that the Harijan would not have paid even hundred rupees totally to his temple in his lifetime. But now he is paying at least a hundred rupees EVERY MONTH for his church. Who is smart ?

Is it any wonder that the ‘Pastor’ is the envy of the society with his flashy Sumo, Safari and Bolero. ? ( Note that all these are for ‘mass’ transport)

How to Save the Harijan from the Clutches of the Missionaries ?

This is a great question and has been asked by many sincere Indians. On the one hand they have the upper caste Hindus- especially the OBC’s to fear and, if they choose to cross over to the Christian camp, the missionaries are awaiting to suck their blood out. But, I say with finality that the emancipation of Harijans will have to happen inside their parent religion. The reasons are

1. The Harijans share the totality of culture with the rest of Indians- Read Hindus
2. Their only source of interaction is our OBC’s and other castes. The Christians are merely opportunists acting at the behest of vested Christian groups funded by criminal nations.
3. Their religion lies here in Hinduism. They share the common God with all of us Hindus.
4. They are more religious than any of the other Hindus.
5. The government is spending huge money on them to atone for the past deeds of fellow Hindus. Most of the Temples are open to them unlike the Upper caste Christian Churches which are out of bounds to them.
6. The present resurgence among Hindus has made them express their brotherhood with Harijans.
7. There are still converted Harijans who will still marry into Hindu relatives thus keeping the traditional bonds alive.

All said and done, I do not mean the missionaries have to be driven out. Like what Vivekananda said, I detest the evilness in people and I do not hate them. I only wish the evangelists changed their behaviour. The further they act in this manner, they will only do injustice to the other Christians since the resurgent Hindu Community will simply isolate them and march on brushing them aside into historic oblivion.

Harijan Colony Temple Update

Harijan Colony Temple- Update on Construction

2-03-08- Visit by Venkat to Athappagoundenpudur.

With our little help and help from other sources, the temple has started to rise. Now , the plinth beam is over, and the floor concrete inside the temple mantapam is also laid. The mantapam wall is now constructed to about three feet and the approach steps are also over in the front.

It is a big relief that the temple has taken off the ground. But the financial aspect is worrisome. The villagers are getting material help like brick , sand and cement from their own village upperclass Hindus. But this too is coming in staggered instalments. Due to this, the temple work is progressing on and off.

On our part, we had provided them Rs 6,500.00 so far to meet the labour charges alone. Total collection has so far been Rs 15,500.00 of which Rs 12,000.00 has been from internet sources. An donor who does not want to be named had sent in Rs 5,000.00 from abroad almost immediately. Srinath Chakrarthy, a dear Hindu Soldier contributed US $ 128.00. Mr Narayanan had donated Rs 1,000.00. Another donor has also sent Rs 1,000.00. My bank account does not mention the name. I would be happy if the sender confirms through mail privately. I pray Lord Krishna to bless you all.

The reserve will last only for the next two weeks it seems. Again for the roof, we will need money. I request you all to mobilize Rs 50,000.00 immediately. The updated photos are also shown here. This is our first project. The money that remains when construction is completed will be used for our promotional activities during consecration. We will distribute small booklets, pictures, and contribute to a annadanam also.

TEMPLE OF OUR PRIYAJANS

HELP NEEDED TO REVIVE THIS TEMPLE

You all know what a temple means to our Sanatana Dharma member. It is the seat of the Paramatman. It is the place of Bhakti Sadhana, Sankeertan, Bhajan, Dhyana and Pooja.

The Hindu brother goes to the temple with humility, and prostrates in front of his Almighty surrendering his all at that instant- pure SaranAgati.

Such temples have to be cared for by us all with total dedication since these very temples are the Dharma Kshetras (places of Righteousness) of Sanatana Dharma.

I am pained and sometimes I am in tears when I see our ancient temples in ruins. The barbaric Mohammedians, and the satanic Christians saw to it that our temples decayed so that they can prey upon innocent Hindus. But now, times are changing and our brothers are taking up renovation of temples one by one.

It is not only the bigger and old temples that need attention, but also the ones in poor people's localities. It is our economically weaker brothers who are the fundamental trust holders of our Dharma and its six religions. Especially, our Harijan/ Priyajan brothers are the most helpless lot. Their temples are often only hundred square feet cubicles with no lighting and no proper pooja. It is the duty of every God loving Hindu to raise up and help his Harijan/ Priyajan brother.

I know one temple in a Harijan colony in Athappa Gounder pudur, Irugur, near Coimbatore City in South India. This temple is dedicated to Sree Pattatharasiamman, the Kula devata of most Priyajans. Their colony houses about 400 families all belonging to priyajans. This locality is seeing intensive evangelizing and as a result, about a third of its population has converted to Christianity.

Another cause of this problem is that the residents demolished their temple about three years back on someone's advice that the government will aid in building a new one. Till then it was a famous one attracting many people from far flung areas. I think this is the handiwork of those pentacostal missionaries who will go to any extent to convert. Now, after three years, all they got as government aid was Rs 25,000.00 with which a small cubicle for the sanctum was alone constructed. The rest of this very old temple is fully demolished which today presents a heart rending scene.

In contrast, the Irugur area which was 100 % Hindu till about five years back, now has six churches one each for a denomination all with good attendance. The Sunday crowd on the street in Irugur consist only of Christians. The pentacostals, who are notorious, are active here and which is worrisome.

Our Priyajan people now have erected four pillars for the front mantapa. For the roof and fencing they are in dire need. Myself and a few friends are working in this area and have started collecting funds for them. This is our first project. We need at least Rs 25,000.00 to help them construct this temple. Only material is bought since they volunteer their own labour.

I now request all the Hindu brethren to raise to this occasion and donate whatever they can to take up this project and complete it. We have already distributed small booklets of devotional hymns and it was well received. There are many such areas and many more temples to help for at least one pooja a day.

Some organisations are working for training pujaris in Chennai. To send someone for training we need funds. My email id is - apexpreci at gmail.com . Kindly mail me so that I can send you the account number where this money can be remitted. Once, we register a trust, we will open a regular website for this purpose.

Remember, you are involving in saving Bharat from Christianization and you are placing your brick for a grand second Bhakti Movement which will sweep Bharat in the next decade and it will be so powerful that the whole world will be sucked into its vortex!

Jai Bharat, Jai Sanatana Dharma
